About the Ministry
Unlike church in America, most churches in Honduras do not have any type of children’s or youth ministry. Although the idea is counter–cultural, CCH has invested time and resources into encouraging ongoing ministry that specifically targeted children and teenagers. The response was overwhelming; children quickly began to outnumber the adults in church.
But perhaps the greatest success story is about the youth group of the church in Las Lajas. After meeting for some time, the youth asked their leader to accompany them on a ‘mission trip’ into some of the poorer villages. Since then, many of the youth from Las Lajas volunteer with our mission to serve alongside the teams of American volunteers when we do VBS, deliver Christmas gifts, build churches, and work in the villages.

Why Honduras?
Honduras is one of the poorest countries in Central America, with more than 60% of its population living on less than $3 per day. Beyond this, Honduras currently has the third highest crime rate in entire the world. Statistics aside, however, God has divinely placed our ministry in Honduras, and we feel blessed every day in our opportunity to serve such a loving people group.
