About the Ministry
Clean water is necessary for basic survival, yet more than 800,000 Hondurans do not have access to it. Some families have to hike miles to retrieve water from rivers and springs, while others settle for drinking polluted, unsafe water. Without access to clean water, an abundance of sanitation issues plague the people who remain dehydrated most of the time.
When CCH encounters a home or an entire village without safe water, we explore various options, from digging wells to pumping water from nearby, in order to solve the issue. Over the years, CCH has installed thousands of feet of pipes, dug many wells, and maintains various water pumps to bring potable water and a higher quality of life to the people we serve.
After providing clean water to their homes, CCH has the opportunity to then share the eternal water that only Jesus can provide.
“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” —John 4:14

Why Honduras?
Honduras is one of the poorest countries in Central America, with more than 60% of its population living on less than $3 per day. Beyond this, Honduras currently has the third highest crime rate in entire the world. Statistics aside, however, God has divinely placed our ministry in Honduras, and we feel blessed every day in our opportunity to serve such a loving people group.
